Every Australian should be trying to minimise single-use plastics, especially plastic bags, including the 'recycled' thick plastic bags you can buy at shops. 

The key is to re-use your reusable bags as many resources (water, energy, materials) go into making reusable fabric bags, so it is a waste if these are not used for years. Remember, many reusable fabric bags can be thrown in your washing machine and stored in your car for those spontaneous shopping trips.
